Thanked: 335Having been in the Army during the Vietnam business and having trained and qualified on several serious weapons, my choice of tool for nastiness would be an M-60 machine gun. I don't know if it is used any more, but against soft targets it was utterly devastating. Any target I acquired out to 1000 meters, I owned. Were there unanswered questions within 100 meters, I'd refer them to my 1911-A1. Later, when I had the choice of carrying it or an M-16; I chose the .45. With any sort of anticipation or preparation, I'd never think of bringing a knife to a gun fight. If it were a razor fight, I'd still bring my .45.
For flights of fancy or when in straights and carrying only something with an edge - it wouldn't be a razor, that's for sure.
This ain't too off topic, is it?
