Dito that. With all of us scanning for deals, there'll never be any.

I do the same thing, I don't even know why. Everytime the mailman comes to the door, or I come in with a box, My girlfriend say's, "Is that a razor" and I say, "No, It's soap" and of course the razors in the bathroom seem to magically reproduce to which I have no explanation.

They're beautful things. Each one feels different, both in your hand & when shaving. They have different balance, blade shape, scale material, shape & size. The metal each is made from & it's forging affects the sound & feel as they perform. The grind does the same, & countless other factors. We must try them all till we know what we want from our perfect razor. Only then can we entrust the skilled craftman to build the razor that combines all of these in one beautiful & perfect razor.
+1, I believe this is the most likely reason... Every blade shape, size, and grind is different. I know I wouldn't buy 3 more ¼-hollow 4/8" razors, I'd probably just own one. (unless I really liked the look of it, of course )

I seem to have gotten over the acquisition disorders having acquired and restored a nice 7-day set of outstanding shavers, close to 6/8's erik antonbergs w/ ivory scales. I have one other 4/8 antonberg but haven't found myself using it lately, I sold all of my other razors, DD's a Livi and some others and only use these and plan on parting with the smaller antonberg as well but want to fix it up a bit with a semi-precious gemstone spacer and some silver pins before I do so. Don't find myself looking at razors anymore either.

I also got married and now have other expenses so buying more razors isn't exactly on the top of the list for me. My wife still calls my straight razors knives. I still remember "You shave with a knife?"

I have some other stuff to restore too but all I plan on parting with or using to practice hone except the 7 antonbergs.

I agree with thebigspendur. In my 60 years of ADs if it ain't one thing it will be another.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Worst thing you can do is set up a ebay acount! Then its all down hill from there. I still havent reached the bottom! What I hate is when its so good you have to bid on it.Then your almost relived if you loose then you feel like you tried anyway! There should be a rehab for this stuff!

I just want to try it. And I already have one that needs honed and two more coming. Got 2 jars of TGQ creams and a TGQ soap. And I haven't even used a straight yet! But, I have gotten the best shave ever with my Schmuck3/5 and a Gillette DE I have.
