I don't have one of the newer 3/4 hollows, but I did have a vintage one, it was stiffer than a dovo full hollow, and seemed to give a very good shave. I do think the 1/4 grinds give a little stiffer cut though, and martin did hone this razor to perfection. My blade did have an inperfection along the spine, so if you need a very pretty razor without any imperfection you may not want the 1/4 grind. I went on his web site today and he list only 4 left. So you guys are running out of time
