Obviously this guy sees a dollar sign. He probably trolls the forums and looks for questions like this and then sees that some guy claims that it can be done with a barber hone. Furthermore by making claims like this probably hurts newbies who don't have the money for a bunch of hones by giving them the idea they can do it. They end up in the end spending more money and time than just sending it to a pro for a measly 20 dollars
