Thats Good news That you got them back.
On the subject of uses for human tissue. a Russian speaking aquantance of mine told me about a Russian news article she had read, in which the Russian police were investigating complaints about some minced meat. The police had tested it and it was human flesh. It turns out that 3 Russian guys now 2 had killed their friend turned him into minced meat sold him on so they could have money to buy Vodka.
It gets even better because while doing there investigation the Police questioned the people who had brought and ate the mince why did they buy it? The reply was it was cheaper then the Cat mince!!! that they normally buy!!!!

Exactly what bone would be ideal for scale making?

FWIW, if I ever have a leg amputated, I will probably scale a razor with the bones.
