this is not a good story. Sorry about it. Please check craigs list in your area. or do this put up add different name and say you are buying straight razor and pay good cash. he may come back to you. GL

That blows. I will help watch ebay too. I know the feeling as well. 2 Weeks ago my CANON 10D DSLR was stolen out of my trunk after they did 200.00 in damage to get in just to get a 30.00 cheapie CD player(they just happened to look in the trunk to find the camera).

Yes, human bone was used sometimes for utility items in the last century. Very poor people sold cadavers for utility items like scales for knife, razor, and simple thngs.
What is even more bizarre, read about what happened to Tecumseh the famous American Indian leader after he was killed in 1813. Razor strops were made of his skin! Henry Clay of Kentucky is reported to have owned one of them.
I thank you for attention given to my theft. I didn't mean to shock anyone. I did post the razor in the general forum a couple of weeks ago in response to a member's posting about using human bone for razor scales. rrr
