Thanked: 101I have around $120.00 or so invested in 5 good straights, a John Primble barber hone & a Koken horse leather strop & I ain't lookin' back!
Yesterday I picked up a J. Schneider & Co. Peoria Ills. "The Peoria" that I have fell in love with. It says Made in Germany & with a quick run on the Koken Strop, it did everything a great straight is supposed to do. Shaved like a dream. I can't say enough good about this razor! I will never buy a modern razor unless I or a friend build it. Why bother when you can get a great shave for around $20.00? I have been really happy with all my vintage blades. The Hamilton took a little more work on the Work Sharp & Barber hone but it shaves great now.
