I dont own a TI, so I cant really comment on those. But I do have a Wacker and its great! Good looks, well made and shaves great..! I'd recommend them!
That said, I have heard very good things about TI's as well..!
Just get both, you know you want to! Hehe!

Thanked: 0Alright alright I admit it. I'm getting both. There. Just wanted to stir up some commotion to confirm what I planned on buying. Did I mention I wanted an 8/8 henckels and a 6/8 wacker wedge, too? anyway, for those who have wackers, do you guys have full hollows or 1/4 grinds? Now I might also get SEVERAL wackers in different grinds in addition to the above.
To answer some questions, I don't hone any razors, this will be my second one. My first was a DOVO classic black 5/8, and I really did not get good shaves with it. I also was stropping improperly so after that first shave-ready shave, that razor was just dull after nicking it on the strop. Someone personally showed me how to strop and I was doing it the wrong way, as in, I did not have the spine on the strop. i am planning on getting an extra wide paddle strop. one side for paste and the other for daily stropping. will most likely use either .5 diamond spray or .6 CrO paste on the tougher side made for pastes if I feel my razor needs a touch up. Though I hear some razors respond differently. I hear the wackers like diamond, the dos festonne TI likes CrO. I also read that novices should not be quick to run to the pasted strop at first.
BTW, is the DORKO wacker the same blade as everything else just with the DORKO logo on it? Looks nice, too.Last edited by MasterMind; 01-18-2010 at 06:23 PM.

I have a quarter and a wedge Wacker and absolutely love them both. They are my most used shavers. Great choice for your second straight.

The Wacker first, the TI afterwards

You realize this thread is 7 years old?
BTW, I have 3 of each. Love them all. Hone my own.A little advice: Don't impede an 80,000 lbs. 18 wheeler tanker carrying hazardous chemicals.
