Sorry to have so many posts, but I went a little ebay crazy last night. Here's three others I was looking at. I will label them 1-3 for the ease of response. Thank you so much for your suggestions and input. Number 2 has some chips in the edge, but they didn't look significant to me.

    1.) Vintage Straight Razor,Celebrated Hollow Ground,W&B - eBay (item 260553090185 end time Feb-16-10 17:22:07 PST)

2.) VINTAGE FREDERICK'S CELEBRATED STRAIGHT RAZOR NICE - eBay (item 220554203494 end time Feb-16-10 19:00:06 PST)

    3.) http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-STRAIGHT...#ht_898wt_1167

As a newbie who's purchased a few off the bay, I have to agree with Max. It's really tough to even know what to look for in the photos, let alone spot it. I'm guessing you plan on restoring, but even if you are there's no reason to take on a crazy project. I could have spared myself hours of sanding if I had taken Max's advice.

Yeah. The funny thing is that I'm not prepared to do any restoration, but I was like a kid in a candy store. Previously I had search for "straight razors" on the bay and got all the ZeepK junk. This time I search for "vintage straight razor" and found all sorts of goodies.

I had bid on a few others, and when the bidding wound down I just let myself be out bid.

The three I posted up really caught my eye. I realize the fredrick's has a few chips, but it looks savable, I think.

That's the better one of the 3. It has some hone wear a few spots here and there but the blade looks really good.

My thoughts as well. What about the others? potential fixer uppers, or should they be left alone?
