Thanked: 1262How were you doing your sanding? Were you holding the blade in one hand and sanding with the other?
If so... Please don't do that again.

Nice job on the scales. Too bad about the GD.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Ouch, sorry....like you said it was only the GD. And they are nice scales, and hope you find a nice blade to fit in them.
But ya know if by chance you never find the right fit...I have my GD 208 just sitting here with it's old clothes on....

Ouch, bummer.
Anyway, I like those scales. Where did they come from?
Hmmm, background in the first photo looks like you are creating your on shaving novel!Last edited by matt321; 03-15-2010 at 03:29 PM.

Materials from Undream/Brad

might as well ebay that blade
That is generally described as "excellent condition", possibly "shave-ready" on ebay. Don't despair.
Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

Thanked: 530Yea, that was a good laugh
And I'd much rather that the GD take the fall than a Dovo or my TI... What really disappoints me is that the first scales I ever made have no blade. They look so lonely

If you can create such rust patterns instantly, you might want to change careers into some crazy research field.
Good job on the scales, sorry about the blade though.
edit: Definitely something for the eBay 'vintage' or 'collector's item' section.
