    Default Well ******

So, I have completed my first REscale, and it turned out great (this was a few days ago). Problem is, the blade was a Gold Dollar, and when I tried to clean the paint off the etch, I also apparently removed some protective layer.. Leading to a weird rusting pattern that I'm not even going to bother describing... this isn't a thread about GD, it's about my failing. check out these pictures:

First one is how nice and pretty the scales turned out.

Second one is what happened when I tried to clean the rust off and it slipping from my hand, and landing on a glass bottle on my floor (Arizona Iced Tea, for record)

How's THAT for dingin' the blade?

EDIT: Serves me right for trying to tune a razor and 3AM

I cringed when this thread opened, perhaps you could have changed your title to: CAUTION THE IMAGES YOU ARE ABOUT TO SEE MAY BE DISTURBING. My condolences be sure to give it a proper funeral and make that Arizona iced tea pay for what its done. Hey wait I'm thinking restoration thread maybe you could bring it back to life, there is still some blade left why not try to hone the chip out then you would have a one of a kind gold half dollar.

Could be worse... I dropped a Gold Dollar... There would be a lot more swearing if it had been my Dovo or my TI >.<

Well, I've got two or three antique malls in Alliance (Where my campus is) so, tomorrow after class, I'm going hunting...

    Here's to hoping

Oh, Stu, I'd love to find those... But let's hope they're billed at 5$ each, otherwise I'll be out a blade AND tempted by blades just beyond my reach.

If you can get the luck Gods to smile on me, and give me both of those razors within my budget, One of them is yours, Shipping's on me.

There, now we both have something to pray for

    Cheers,
    Jeremy
