I have had several razors with Perlex scales and the scales all broke within 2 or 3 years from purchase date.
Maybe i am rough.
I now have 2 black Micarta, the 1st bought 5 or 6 years ago and they are holding. Scales are fat, it is true,
but i got used to it.
