Thread: Oldest Razor in Your Shaving Rotation?

    I think is from the late second half of the 1700's.
    Is it pressed horn handle?
    If yes, pressed horn with such picture, I think 1815-1825.
    Can you show the blade?

    The handle is wood. The only blade pic I've got at the moment is the one I posted which is from the ebay listing.

    This set is a almost new compared to some of the heirlooms I'm seeing here! But at least I can date it fairly precisely to no later than December 12, 1889.

    This is my oldest razor in rotation. My estimate is that it was made in the 1820's. Original pins. The scale is cracked but doesn't seem to be getting worse. I have a couple blades I think are older but they're not ready for use.
