I use a 12 pen chest. Figured that I would never need more than 12 slots for razors.....WRONG....now they're piled on top too

I store mine in the sock drawer of my dresser in the master bedroom.
I only keep one straight razor in the bathroom and that one is always oiled."Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." Mark Twain

You make an excellent point about protecting the blade that we use. I do what JimmyHAD does and wipe my razors with a gun cloth after each use. My process is as follows:
The night before, select my blade, select my lather (soap, uber, cream), take my SOTD pic so I can post after the shave in the morning, strop the razor 25 webbing/50 leather, go to bed, wake up, soak brush, hot shower, strop again 25/50 (sometimes I'll skip the 2nd stropping if I'm short on time), shave, leave razor open to dry while I wipe excess cream off, splash cold water on my face, clean out scuttle, rinse brush, put on After Shave, strop razor 25 leather, wipe with gun cloth, put back in case with the rest of the razors.
Sorry for the longwinded post
