Sadly, I have only one str8: a Boker King Cutter, and it stays in the bathroom. I keep it oiled with mineral oil and it just sits on top of a wooden bowl I use to make my lather in. It's not in any kind of case or anything; in the 'open air' so to speak. Does this sound sufficient? I shave about every-other day. Should I keep it outside the bathroom or in some sort of container in the bathroom?
Thanks,

amt,
That is sad...time to get going and purchase a few more straights my friend. You need at least, say 5-6
I, personally, don't recommend keeping your razor in the bathroom...humidity will, over time, take a toll on the blade (especially around the pivot pins)...even with mineral oil. Not much will happen short term, but the additive effects over time will show in the intermediate term
You don't have to keep it in a display or anything, just outside your bathroom.

Robert,
I agree... it's horrible. I can tell that I have RAD, just not the finances to actually acquire a new razor(s). College student = low income. Maybe around Christmas time...
Thanks for the advice. I'll have to find a new place for it tonight. What about the strop?

Here are the pics as promised. The razors on top need work (honing, restore, etc). The razors on the bottom are my rotation. The piece of foam on the right doesn't come with the case, but I use it to keep the razors from rubbing together when the case is closed. I hope this helps. Cheers!

Thanks for remembering to post these photos, I've been looking forward to them.
I love the price of these for as much secure storage as you get, but just so I'm clear, the case closes easily and the razors on each side aren't pushing one each other through the (user provided) foam? Is that correct?
Thanks again,

Yes. It closes easily, the foam I used I got from walmart and it is used for seat cushions (look in the arts/crafts/fabric section). If you use too thick of a foam you could have a hard time closing the case, but foam compresses, and I have had no issues. I can see the indentation of the razors in the foam, but only on the side of the foam that is facing the razor so it is not impacting the other side.
