Default Rocky Patel Vintage Series "Cigars"

Passed a cigar store on the way home.

Simple enough, until I get something better. ;>

I ordered one of these and it came a couple days ago. I like it, and it does the job, but I'd note a couple points.

First, if you have a lot of wide razors, 6/8's for example, you'll not be able to use all 32 slots in the case. The spaces are okay for 5/8 and smaller, though.

Second, the razors are held in place by an elastic thread. It's fine, but I nearly cut one when razor with a loose pivot swung open as I inserted the razor. Be careful of the elastic threads.

    See the pics below

Otherwise this is a nice solution! I have a lot of razors, having bought a lot of eBay and antique store razors on the cheap while learning to hone. I got lots of help and most of those razors shave nicely, so now I have about 50-60 razors that seem shave-ready and give good shaves...so I have 'archived' about 30 while I shave through the others.

I guess I ought to sell or give away some of these!

This is my "razor rack". It's a pipe rack but works well.

Very good points. FYI woodcraft also sells replacement inserts in case one were damaged. I've not replaced one, but I guess it would have to be glued in place. Glad you find it works for you Cheers!

I keep my favourite razors (15 of them) in a cigar box with a silica pack and I keep them in the sock drawer. As a little experiment I do have a rust free sacrificial razor that I keep in the bathroom on the counter - we don't have a exhaust fan and it gets pretty steamy in there - it's been there for six months, totally exposed without any oil at all and it has not developed a single spot of rust! AND I live on Vancouver Island which is in the Pacific NW - lot of moisture up here! I am not quite ready to put the Filly EPBD in there on a permanent basis but this makes me think it's not the big deal we make it out to be. I think air circulation may be key?

I have two Dovos.I keep them resting on top of a nice white microfiber towel in the drawer of the little phone table I bought at the hobby lobby of all places. It looks all victorian and fancy and only cost me 50 bucks.Works great in the bathroom and I keep my blades stropped ,barber honed when needed, and freshly oiled with camillia oil from SRD.I use the blades often enough and they are holding up fine.I always use a nice fine piece of chamois to wipe my blades with(learned that from the shaving manual on this site).I figure I'm doin just what grampas all over the world did back in the day ,and anymore than that is personal preference, which is fine also.I also live in Colorado which is a dry state to begin with so just my one cent for what its worth.

In their own box, for those that have one. Then into a plastic pencil box, each holding 12 boxed razors, with dessicant. Then into the gun safe.

I had all my shave ready razors in my bathroom and they all developed surface rust on exposed steel due to condensation. I keep them out of the bathroom and oiled at all times now. I think you've been fortunate to not have experienced any rust.
