Default Where do you store your straight razor?

When i had my first razor i got the feeling that i needed an other. The first could get a rest. I now have more than 10 razors and i use about 3-4 of them. The other ones are lying in the bathroom. I think it is not the best place, moisture etc. Where do you sore your razors?

I store mine in a 32 pen case from woodcraft, then I put that inside my gun safe. I have a dehumidifier in the gun safe, so it keeps the razors safe from moisture also (and keeps them away from little hands).

Buy 32 Pen Display Case With Lid at Woodcraft.com

    juko,

I store most of mine in plastic 'Tupperware like containers that have a 4 snap catches on the lid; they also have a good sealing ring that keeps mosture etc out. A layer of fine bubble wrap on the bottom and top helps to keep things safe

Each box can hold 4 -6 razors depending on their size.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Mine are stored in a glass-door shelving cabinet. Works as both a safe storage and display function.

I keep mine in their boxes in the wardrobe. Those that didnt have boxes have toothbrush holders instead, but again they are kept in the wardrobe.

They're out of the way of the cats there and away from the humidity in the bathroom as well.

I purchased an antique (pre-Victorian) English jewelry box from ebay with really nice inlay and a lock/key ... it's a beautiful piece to have on a dresser or end table. It is about 13" wide x 9" deep x 7" high. There are a lot of these on ebay and range from $80 - $350, depending on the condition, decoration, Mother of Pearl, inlays, etc. Some are really works of art. The tray that was inside of it is missing, but I simply store my razors (in boxes or leather sheaths) in the box along with a few other shaving-related items. I keep this box out of the bathroom, and keep the razors oiled, and have not moisture issues. I'll try to post a pic when I get home. I also have a second antique box, but it was my grandfather's, and the finish is in rougher shape, and he used it for small tools ... I store my hones and stones in this box ... the two of them make a nice complement.

It plugs into the wall and has little crystals in it that change color when they are wet. You plug it in to the wall to dry it out.
