It's a real hard call because I've got about 10 straights that I know will give me a fantastic shave but the one that always just feels that fraction better is a Wostenholm frameback.

For over all feel, balance, heft and all I would have to say my Bell, Belfast. It's a near wedge heavy blade with a thick spine and long blade that really solidifies my perfect shave and feel for a razor.
I'm also torn about replacing the scales with vintage horn scales as it may change the over all feel of the razor... but I will do it when I find the scales, so I can put the pressed Boker scales on a Boker razor that will fit the nicely :/

Thanked: 983Toss up between my Bengall or my Wosty Pipe. They shave as sweetly as each other, but I have a bit of a love affair with big blades and the Wosty is 13/16 over the Bengalls shade under 6/8, so if I have to pick one, it will be the Wosty for the overall effect.

It's either my Mastro Livi 8/8 Bergam Damascus or Josh Earl custom 8/8 or the W&B that Glen aka. gssixgun fixed up...
a few others are in the running too.

Thanked: 45Now that's strange...I have the same little cast iron pot that you have in the picture! Do you actually make the lather in it as mine seems to small for that? I put hot water it in and then my lather mug sit on top..not real sure if it helps with the heat but that would be the bomb if it was like 2 inches bigger (no jokes please)
Anyway, back to the thread....mine is a JR Torrey....Im really new so I don't know if it's just because I happened to have honed it better than my others or if its the blade but I sure get nice BBS out of her.
