You can't tell from pics how deep pitting goes but worth a gamble at the right price.
The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

To the OP, in case you're not aware of it .... the concern with the pitting is more than cosmetic when it is near the edge. If it is in the bevel and it is too deep the edge will crumble to swiss cheese where the pits are as you try to hone to good metal. You might get lucky if the pitting is shallow and get through to good steel. That is the gamble.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
