You certainly picked a good place to buy a str8 razor. If the wife gives you trouble, just remind her there are certain times when she will appreciate a close shave. I refer to it at times as the "BBT" which you won't find in the Wiki.

Congrats on the Dovo. I have that same one. I was able to use mine right out of the box. I did give it about 20 or 30 laps on leather first but no honing.
