I purchased a J.A. Henckels last night at a antique store for $18. It is in great condition. A little polishing and honing and it will sweet!!
I hope my expectations arernt too high. I have never shaved with a Solingen razor. What should I expect from this brand?

Thanked: 993I tend to rotate my favourites. It's like asking me to pick my favourite Led Zeppelin song. There's always a current favourite, but not a single one forever.
Currently:
My Wostenholm spike point OR my Wacker 7/8 Hollow.
Each for different reasons.

My Luer near wedge. I have a matched pair...
After that, Sheffield.
Then Solingen. This is a Simmons Hardware "Keen Kutter."
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

Both of mine are Sheffields, so my frame of reference is somewhat limited

All my razors are Le Grelots but my favorite out of them is the ivory scaled one!
