I have the razor back here and I should have it honed and on it's way again by the end of next week.

By the way, anyone know what happened to the case the razor was shipped out in?

If it's a TI case I think I have it. I've been trying to figure out where it came from.

Was that the case? I don't remember receiving the razor with a case at all.

It did not have a case when I recieved it either. It was wrapped in brown kraft paper.

Pulled this from Tojo's Wikipedia entry: "His nickname was "Razor" (Kamisori), for his reputation for a sharp, legalistic mind capable of making quick decisions."

Was this known to you before you named it, or is it a funny coincidence?

By the way I hope to have the razor back out and on it's way no later than the middle of next week. It's honed up but just needs the comfort level dialed in which is always the biggest issue with kamisoris.

The General is on the move again so...

Received the recently rehoned General Tojo today. Much better results. The bastard drew blood though. Back into the box with him.

Shaving with one side is not easy.

Well, you know if you use two sides no one will make fun of you...except The General.

Shave #2 was an improvement. Zero burn when I used the alum block and no blood this time. I realized talking to Nelson that I was trying to use the "wrong" side last time. I made sure I had the flat stamped side towards my face for most of the shave and it seemed better. Looking at the razor it makes sense.

I still do not understand how it is possible to do a complete shave with just one side though.
