Does indeed sound like you did good for your first shave, those can be a tad unforgiving to start out with. Try some KAI Titan Mild blades, those are quite awesome. Once you get the hang of it, you'll enjoy insanely good shaves.

I got the third shave under my belt. I find this razor easy to use and fairly gentle. I am amazed that I have read that so many consider the blade too sharp. I now have the best and closest shave I have ever had. I am totally converted to a straight razor blade now. And the feather makes it easy! Thanks fellas. I will post a few pics when I figure out how.
