Actually, I would base my decision on how well a shaver performed rather than on brand. I have enough razors and brands that I could never say one particular brand really outshined all others. When it comes to shavers I would classify as superlative shavers, the rare ones cut (har har) across all brands and sizes. Now if your talking visually most appealing that's another story but I have too many to list as favorites.

For me best shavers are Puma and Wusthof. Third place I would give to J.A.Henkels.

I have never met a CW Dahlgren I didn't like.

I love my Henckels 15/16 Friodur. Just love it! Stefan did an outstanding job on the hone.

I loaned it to pinklater to try, probably lucky he sent it back!

I couldn't pick a single brand. Some of my favorites are hard steel full hollows or softer steel half to quarter hollows. I also love the big name German blades, who's name I won't repeat for fear of making the prices any higher, because they give such smooth shaves.

If I had to choose, without out a doubt it would be my *******. I have a few various brands/countries in my rotation, all great shavers, but I seem to reach for the ******* more often.

Iwasaki razors are the best I've ever used.

If you're talking mass-produced brands, then either FON or Friedrich Herder.

Just too many to list. I can spend 10-15 minutes trying to make up my mind which one to use on the rare occassion I get to shave with one of my own.
