Take good care of her. My MK31 sliced my thumb wide open, teaching me a very valuable lesson. I shall keep and use it with joy and reverence, and I hope you do too.

I agree with gugi. At the time the razor was made, Europe was importing 100s of tons of elephant tusk yearly. Ivory and slaves were the two major exports from Africa. I'll test the scales once the razor arrives this week, but I'm assuming it's elephant.

Lovely blade. The CVHs are perhaps the most elegant 19th century str8s out there. So understated. There's nothing like real ivory to compliment that outrageously modern steel.
