You have a superb and handsome razor there! +1 on getting it honed by an expert-sadly it is very easy to ruin a fine razor, as I have learned in the past. My 2 Bartmann razors are extremely good shavers and "sing" on the strop and when they cut hair.

Thanked: 443If it's your only razor, honing will be a little more frequent. Depends on your beard and how good a stropper you are. There really isn't a good single answer. Dig into the Wiki on stropping, honing, etc. Think about picking up a second razor for when you have to send this one out.
