Thanked: 0My First Straight
My first straight is a Bartmann.. This one really caught my eye, and I got it for a deal off somebody on eBay. I hear pretty good things about Bartmann's, what's everyone's input? I'm still noobing, I'm looking for a cool mug, strop, and brush now.

Can't make out the edge in that picture but looks like you should have a good'un.

Bartmann are a very high end razor. I'm in the process of restoring one at the moment. Makes sure you get someone who knows what they are doing to hone it and you'll have a super shaving straight.

Thanked: 0I'm kinda (foreveralone) in Boston.. Not to maybe people have the interest in Straight Edge's. We have this shop call the art of shaving, but they charge out outrageous prices, brushes go for $100+. I plan on doing this myself, the Razor is in A+ condition blades perfect, I don't know how sharp it is yet. I'm going to need to invest in a strop, hone bar, and what makes the blade have a mirror finish which kind of polish? Thanks so much in advance.

You a Pedey fan?
You're going to want to be careful with the polish as you'll lose that etching, but maas or flitz work well for me.

Be careful with the polish or you will end up losing etching as well as gold wash. Get someone with experience to hone it for you, check the SRP classifieds under member services.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain
