Thread: Ordered this.....and got that.....

It's hard to beat SRD not only do they know what they are selling, they actually hone all razors so they are shave ready plus give you a certificate for another honing, all while maintaining some of the best bargains out there. When you get your two prior orders refunded and sorted out go to SRD and buy from them.

I contacted Royal Shave via chat session and this is what they said:

Yes, it is the exact razor, Dovo makes the razor for Col. Conk as well as for everyone else. Col Conk has their name imprinted on the blade for their customers. We were out of the razor and purchased some direct from Col. Conk. If you prefer to not have the Col. Conk name on the razor we will gladly take it back and you can be on a waiting list for the item when we get it back from Dovo without the Col. Conk name on it.

You can look on Col Conk website and see that it is made by Dovo. Their website is www.col.conkproducts.com I think

I am just gonna get it honed and be done with it. I will probably end up buying one from the classifieds soon anyway....will work till then....

You have a Dovo in hand to use for as long as you need. Send back the ones you don't want and wait for refunds. Be patient and get the Dovo if that is what you want. It may take a few weeks, so what. Then go to SRD and order yourself a razor.

Haha!! He lives down in LA, it is my ex's family that lives up there.....I don't think I could talk my ex-wife into buying me a razor, LOL

No more purchases from Amazon!! Unless it is a stapler or something.....

And thanks again mvcrash, I truly do appreciate it. I think I will just get the "Dovo-best quality" honed and hang on to it, as long as it keeps a straight edge I am happy.

I have my eye on a couple of blades in the classifieds and I am playing with the idea of getting a Boker from SRD, but that won't happen for a few weeks. I'll get that "Dovo" honed and once I get it back, I'll send you the special back.....

I would do that if I had my druthers, but I am kinda a middle man in this. I can't convince my father to buy outside of Amazon. I think he is using Amazon credit or something.

Hey Serv - if you have to go through amazon, why not just get on Royal Shaves waiting list? Return the one they sent, and in a few weeks when a Dovo is available, it'll arrive at your house. In the meantime, you've got a great loaner to use. I just know that for myself, if I don't get exactly what I was after, I'm never quite satisfied and it was money wasted. Better to hold out and get what you're truly after - may save you from spending extra in the classifieds right away.
