    Exclamation Ordered this.....and got that.....

So as a gift for my 30th b-day, my father purchased what we both thought was a Dovo Best Quality, but what I received was one of those "Col. Ichabod Conk" re-brands. I sent them an email for clarification as to why the ad stated Dovo, when in fact it is not a Dovo.

My question to ya'll is: is there that much of a difference to push this further? Or will it do until I make my next purchase? Which, BTW, will probably be very soon, I have my eye on a couple of razors in the classifieds.

    Advice?

    Here is the ad:

If I pay for a Cadillac and it comes with a Chevy grill, I am going to be upset. Contact the vendor. Even though it may be from the same manufacturer, it is not the same model.

Although they are from the same factory, they are branded differently and I imagine priced differently. I'd be sending it back.

PS I know where you can get a really good priced, real Dovo

You purchased it because of a representation made by the seller that the razor was a Dovo, but what you received was actually a Col Conk. There is a material difference between what you bought and what you received, therefore you should receive a full refund or money to remedy the seller's breach.

Well, as soon as I got it I mailed it straight to Lynn. I just wasn't certain at the time, but I may just have to ask him (Lynn, you out there?) to send it back. At the time I thought Col. Conk was made by Dovo. Other than the $$ part, are they really so different?

This sucks cause now I have to wait even longer for my first straight shave! UGGGHHHH!

I have heard some are the same. Regardless, it is not what you ordered and you have a contractual right to what you ordered or your money back. Unless there was some literature in the advert that said "we may give you a Colonel Conk instead".

There should not be. It is onerous to incur costs on a bona fide consumer as a result of negligent misrepresentation.
