Hi just received my feather and had my 1st shave with it today. Yes, it's one sharp razor WTG went well; ATG will need some work. Does concentrate your thinking. But , ready for another tomorrow.
? My question is that the instructions say to remove and clean/dry the blade and remove for holding? Is this something you do? And where? Or do you just wash it off , dry and return to the razor for the next shave?? Thanks.

Yes I remove and clean the blade, actually i find it easier to place the blade into the razor by hand than using the blade applicator, it's pretty straight forward.

Gentlemen:
I bought my Feather Artist Club in the teak handle some years ago and not once have I thought of selling it. I think many who have bought the Feather Artist Club choose to hold on to them. The Feather is a superb razor for what it is — a straight razor with replaceable blades. A regular straight razor is a different experience. What's more, the Feather is less forgiving than the regular straight. I try not to compare the two razor much as I don't compare the double edge to the straight razors. Each in its own place, is what I say. Is one better than the other? Better in what way? So, yes, I plan to hold on to mine into the next century — if the Lord is willing and the creek don't rise.

I thought that it would be a good idea to take the blade out, clean and dry it. But... Watched a geofatboy flick and all he recommended was to rinse it and put the razor way with the blade in it wet. Didn't seem right.
