Thread: Antique shop find, new project

If you would like, you could send those scales to me and I could laser etch a new set of wooden scales to match the original including that design on the scales.
It would take me a little work to recreate the design on Coreldraw 15 but the final product would rock!

I think laser etched wood scales sound like the best idea so far. That's what I missed about my last job, having access to a water jet and getting to do all that kinda stuff. I will PM you about it tomorrow.

Good idea, but I have some experience here, you could go silicon, epoxy or plaster of Paris. A good mold release would be necessary for the last two. It would be quite a project, but doable in composite material...
