Well, for 'mint' you can ask the collectors, but you'll pay collectors prices, and you'll spend most of its value at the moment you open the box. You can sometimes get vintage razors in excellent original condition that look as good or better than the current production from people like us, especially the ones who have been at this for a number of years. Look in the classifieds or PM some people who seem to have good stuff like that. You may have to pay comparable price to buying a new razor or more, but to me it's always been well worth it. Restoring an old abused razor is possible as you can see in the restoration section and you can get good results, but I've never seen anyone who has come close to factory condition. May be it's just the nature of the razor factories using a real professional equipment.
You should peruse the razor database in the library/wiki, there are a number of razors in original condition or very close to it.Last edited by gugi; 02-17-2012 at 08:36 AM.

Hi every one, it's Beer week in SF, So... I've had a few barley wines.
It looks great, I've purchased two razors from Larry, and one of them
is one of my favorite razors "a W&B barber notch 6/8 for $35, that's
not to dismiss my other razor I purchased from him for $25.
One of my other other favorites is a 6/8 from Holli, for $30, that is not to be dismissed from the other razors I have
purchased from other members at staightrazor forumLast edited by tboyer; 02-17-2012 at 09:22 AM.
