It took a nice edge and shaved sweet. I think it's the real deal.
Sounds kind of funny on the stone compared to what I've been honing on but it is a razor in my book.
One of these days I'll have to invest in some real hones. All I've got is some old "hand me downs" that I trued up, but they work OK for touching up an edge.
Thanks for all the input and no apologies needed by anyone. I've enjoyed reading the responses.
