I have to agree with everyone else. Do a little research before you jump in to save yourself from a horrible first shaving experience. The first razors are the nice looking new razors but are cheap in quality and often need to be reground in order to produce decent results.

My advice would be to contact an approved vendor from SRP or contact SRD directly and tell them your a newbie and that you would like a nice vintage that is shave ready and a strop. You could also try Larry from Whipped Dog Straight Razor Shaving Equipment. He has a starter kit for about 50 or 60 dollars and it comes with a strop. The razors are nothing pretty but they are shave ready and provide great results.

Good luck
