Thanked: 4249History of P.Hospital & Cie "Le Grelot" thiers France
According to the Cutlery trademark registration office in France, the first trademark for Le Grelot was in 1912.
The registry goes back to 1800 so no registration for Le Grelot before that date. In 1919 another registration found for Le grelot with
some of their more familiar trademarks.
In 1921 the registry shows the first appearence for Le grelot trademark Royal Canada.
1934 shows the first campiono for the company.
Please note that there are many registry from 1912 to 1966 i just posted a few of the more familiar ones.
The 1966 last registry if again a different design "royal Canada"
The company like many others made razors for others as well, and won a few "Golden Medals" Medaille d'or in France.
Also made their own strop paste.
I also was reading that before they made their own strop paste they recommended using Thiers Issard strop paste?
They also manucfactured safety blade.
Some nice razor boxes
And cool advertising!!
And some great looking razors and wonderful shavers!!

Does that registry have the following mark as well?
It is from a 3/8 with plastic scales, which is the most little razor I have. I would like to know its age...
Thanks!
