Prices will not be declining on the large blades, are only so many to be had,if you have one, hang on to at least the one.
The day will come when you will not see them anymore at currant fair market value:$350/450 ish.
Forget about the ludicris ebay asking prices, those blades never sell.

Can someone post a pic of these Filarmonicas Classic Shaving was selling?
My experience is based mainly on the vintage models and not the very last lines of production ie 1980s

    They look similar.
The difference was mainly in the packaging, and the steel.
I have a fair few of the older ones, and a couple of the later production ones, and IMHO there are slight differences between them.
Honing the older ones is always a pure joy, the newer ones were a bit more finicky to get to a good shaving edge.

Thank you for sharing this Birnando, this is helpful for me and pretty much what I thought would be the case.
If you could post a photo of one of the later models and its case I would really appreciate it.

Sure, I'll post a pic of the old and newer boxes, and accompanying razors
I pack away all the boxes in the attic, so I'll have to go up there first, but I'll get on that in a day or so!

I blame Lynn for the rise in price of the Ducks and the Filarmonicas
If you can get them at a good price then why not? Lets face it, they are not making any more. The prices are going to go up. Over the last three years the industry has seen a huge rebirth and there are not the volume of str8 makers like there used to be in the 1800-1900's. Look at the quality of what is being sold over the 'bay. A couple years ago people would not have bothered trying to sell blades like this but not try to sell the old 12 Fili for 40 bucks. Supply and demand....

Seems like the prices of all the desirables have considerably gone up over the past few years. Big blades, or certain brand names are the ticket.
