    If on a pivot yes,on the wedge end I would run the scales thru an ultrasonic (would not even unpin them) until the crud is out,we do this on porcilin watch and clock dials that have hairline cracks and the pretty much disapear..
    Than I would CA clue the crack mixing in some fine Ivory dust,sand and polish,Or just leave it be,is not really structural.

    Looks like a great set, although personally I'm not a huge fan of seven-day sets, since I like a bit of a rotation with different types of razors.

    I'm speculating a bit here, but my guess is that they were made by Harrison Bros. & Howson Co. in Sheffield, England (after 1892) for the American Specialty co. who sold them on to the Fifth Avenue Hotel in New York, as many high class hotels had in-house barbers. Or ordered by the hotel through the American Specialty co.

    Close-ups tell me it's definately natural material and the usual bone grain is absent, so I think ivory is a good call. Enjoy!
