    There is one thing that really jumped out at me in that ad

    "Microscope Perfect Edge"

    Sure, with a claim like that i hope a new DD was shave ready out of the box.

    My first eBetray razor was a 15 dollar dubl duck dwarf. With inflation I'm sure it was less than the six dollars of that era. Had to hone out the chips and make it shaveworthy, though.

    The Ads I have seen in the past for the DD's and many others say "Hair Tested" but the Microscope perfect edge is an interesting claim..

    There was a time I actually did those tests on NOS razors that I happened to be lucky enough to score, I would take the razor, strop it in and test shave, as expected they shaved just fine..

    I'm kind of intrigued about the Satinedge and Satinwedge having both German and American made models.

    I have not Martin, but I have heard of it, and I have fixed a few that supposedly were, the blades looked un-used so I didn't really doubt the claim
