I wonder what was up with the "Made In America" ? Also the fifty cents cheaper ? Maybe the blades were Solingen and the razor/scales were assembled on this side of the pond ? I have never seen or heard of a Made in USA stamped duck.

I just checked my Satinedge and nowhere is it marked with Solingen, Germany or New York. The back of the tang says:

"Pearlduck - Dubl Duck - Reg US Patent. Off."

I'm guessing mine might be one of the American made models.

No, not quite. Pearlduck didn't come into existence until well after WWll probably 48 or 49 I'm thinking. Back in those days the average Joe probably earned around 4 grand a year. Of course in those days you could buy a new car for $1500.

Some of the early Bresnick marked models make no mention of where they were made and I suspect those are U.S made.

I was tempted to buy some of these ads myself but thought naaaawww. Glad you posted them. My Goldedge PearlDuck is not on the ad and it's dimensions a little different also. It's round toe and 1/16 over 6/8

Not sure where to measure blade length but from the back of the stabilizer to the tip toe is 3 1/16 " .

I was a little surprised when I opened it. Condition and size.
