    Well.......if I were stranded on a deserted island & had my choice between shaving with that razor and a clam shell..

    well,,,,,,,,

    O.k.,,, I'll take that Max Sprecher Custom.

    I don't know who Max is, but I know that he did a beautiful job on that blade. I love the scale pattern. Is that a type of horn?

    Max did a great job, That's kind of hybrid Spanish tip, pretty unique. It shaves great. I wear a Goatee, and spike at the heel is very useful. I wouldn't recommend a razor like this to a novice. The scales are made of metal, Mokume Gane. I know a lot of guys choose 8/8th's, I think the 7/8th is plenty big.

    You do need to be careful with a spike point razor, especially one this extreme. Normally the heel doesn't hit your face while you shave, but I use it on the left side of my face to trim my goatee. It works great....
