I can't speak for anyone else's beard and the direction of its growth but there are VERY few spots on my face and neck that I can't get BBS......there I said it.....BBS. Sorry Edlhewitt/Obie. In fact, if there is a tiny patch here or there at the corner of my neck somewhere, I CAN get it but may simply decide its not worth going after since my shave takes long enough as it is. I've had to come up with some interesting procedures to get to it all but I've been able to do so. Shaving with a DE taught me the angles needed to get it all. the trick was duplicating it with a straight. In order to get after it all, I sometimes have to use my left hand for the right side of my face in order to get the angle of attack correct. Other times I'll grip the razor in unconventional ways in order to get a good pass against the grain. But what works for me and my face is not necessarily what will work for anyone else. Some of the hair on the lower half of my neck grows upward from the side of the adams apple toward the ear. To get it, I have to use the opposite hand to properly angle the blade down from below the ear toward the adams apple. I'll cross over the other hand to stretch the skin downward and in the direction that I'm moving the blade. I can get everythign I would have gotten with any other form of shaving and more. So I use the term but I don't over use the term.

not exactly a razor I don't like, but related: I don't like it when someone says that my face looks like a baby's ass.

Thanked: 4942I think the razors I dislike the most other than those that I consider substandard razors, are those with scales that make it hard to strop or hone. I have had more trouble with Big Horn scales that narrow at the hinge pin, Curly designed wood at the hinge pin and scales where there is simply not enough room on the tang of the razor to get a good maneuverable grip on. Other than that, it's got to be Kamisori's because of that wicked wicked spike on that short blade and the time consuming technique, to me anyway, involved in using one.
Have fun.

I believe MichaelC needs to field a couple of his own designed razors to accompany his stones! I have admired his SOTD pics and believe he could introduce a modern classic or two.
