The only FBO I have seen have been on later models of WB razors. FBU goes way back, at least into the 1830s. The big-blade FBU have been on a number of distinctive blade styles.

I would assume those are the original scales. It's pretty typical to find that style of WB in horn scales of that shape, and often in honey color.

There might be some information buried in a transition from the straight-lined stamping of the manufacturer to the curved/arched stamping, but I'm not aware if it's an accurate way to date them....

The phrase 'Magnum Bonum' etched into blades spanned a fairly wide use, from pieces etched either at the top flat section of the spine in the early 1800s, to the top side of the spine (same period,...

I don't usually go after WBs but couldn't pass this one up from Etsy. I believe it's 1820s, with the original two-type finish typical of that period (glaze on the tang and crocus polish on the blade...

Those look like ivory to me. I'd almost be willing to bet those are modern machined (solid brass) stacked washers rather than the old stamped ones.

We will obviously need pictures, but it seems like the mark involving the arrow and cross was not used until the later half of the 19th century.

Excellent! So nice to see some thin scales. Bone was often cut thin, at least on older razors. Very nice work.

My guess would be not original as well. Thumbnotches are pretty easy to put in, and these look somewhat crude for factory. It has been repinned as well.
