    It was a first for me, too. I'll tell ya...biscuits were just as golden brown on the bottom, as the top's.

    I never use soapy water to clean mine.
    Just hot tap water and a washcloth.

    Rinse and dry while hot, then a lite coat of oil on a paper towel. That's all..!!

    Wrapping the edges of the pie crust with foil, will keep them from burning, Roy. Remove them just before the pie is done, they'll come out perfect.
