7/8/2013 - The "Where's the frolicking lather gone?" shave.

Pre : Claus Porto glycerine soap
    Soap : Mitchell's Wool Fat
Brush : Unknown brand acrylic handle boar
    Razor : 1960 Gillette Fatboy (#9 setting)
    Blade : Israeli-made Personna
    Post : Nivea moisturising balm
    A/S : Old Spice A/S

    Finish : BBS

    Comments :
The MWF lathered up rather well, with no signs of thinning out. All well and good. Somewhere between bowl and face though, the lather transformed into the seemingly usual MWF thin bubbles. Yet, in the bowl, there was lather, good and thick. Ah well... onwards. Time for the XTG passes, and... there was some lather in that bowl... I'm sure there was. Where the hell has that gone?? Cue some hateful words thrown at the attractive MWF bowl and its increasingly despicable contents... something along the lines of "I never get this amount of trouble with Tabac, you horrible lump of ...".

    You get the picture.

Simply amazing, it shaves by gravity and has been an impressive shaving
And Don is really a good guy: replaced my blade holder (first gen not perfect with no-handsplitted half-blades) just for shipping fee ... and added new scales in kind refund!! Great razor, great person. The best.

Always a pleasure to see your pics. I'd like to see them in the Italian forum too, again.
