It's mountain country, the banjos are playing every night :-)

+ two days stubble and I bought out the Mappin and Webb Trustworthy, absolut joy together with Jabonmans fantastic soap, New Forest brush and Myrsol AS! We've done some treaking in one of the largest park areas in the world today and yesterday (85 square km).

    Wednesday
    Hot water prep
Blasberg razor - Sanders & Co soap - NOS Rubberset bristle brush - cold water splash - L'Oreal balm - hot towel - Verveine shower - Penhaligon's Eau de Verveine EdT

An okay shave. First test run for the NOS (50's?, 60's?) Rubberset brush. This one is really hard and it will do just fine for my harder soaps. I don't have many, but just in case. The initial stink is there of course and it's mixed with the stench of "things that one finds on an old attic".
The brush is so hard in fact that it whipped up way too much soap, making the lather too thick. This, combined with a Blasberg that is actually in need of a coticule touch-up made for a bit of a scrapy shave. The second pass with thinner lather was better, but for the first time in many months I almost re-encountered the sense of a hint of razor burn... An odd feeling. The balm soothed that down nice and quick and the shower got me nice and refreshed. Now, the eyes are on the rapidly approaching weekend.

Same setup as shave on Sunday. I purchased the cream over the weekend; like it very much.

Hotel shave with a random solingen that I picked up in Arizona for 30 bucks, this thing has been a warrior, six months and all I've had to give it is a dozen passes on CrOx once. A nice shave as it always gives.

Man I know what that's like. Too funny! Thank you for the hearty laugh!

    Pre-Shave - Clean & Clear face wash
    Brush - Vie-Long horsehair
    Soap - Arko
    Mug - Rogers & Bro
    Razor - 5/8 Warranted hollow

This old shaver was probably reground, but whomever did it, did it right. Very hard steel, holds a great edge, perfect smooth shave
