Good morning gentlemen! Wow, I haven't posted in a while. I guess life got in the way. I received the SRP razor two days ago, having ordered it back in March, and just took it for its first spin. Great feel, balance, and a very smooth edge. A really nice razor and I'm glad I was able to get one. The strop is also new, a Christmas present from my dad (a DE enthusiast himself): it's a 3" English Bridle from Classic Shaving, made by American Mountain. I'm not quite used to the still-slick surface, and I'm finding I need to slow down on this one compared with my old beat-up latigo. Nothing wrong with slowing down!

All the best to all of you.

    Michael

    Nice Saturday Shave!
    Prep: Lukewarm Shower
    Razor: Sanguine R5 Shavette
    Brush: VDH Boar
    Soap: Tabac
    AS: Afta ASB
    Finish: Aqua Velva Musk
    Stash: Firehouse Wacky Tacky
To be completely honest this razor is fast becoming my go-to. Some would scoff at that but one pass with this thing is a DFS completely suitable for a full work day. Two passes (like today's shave) is absolute no question BBS. What's not to like?

This razor was a PITA to get dialed in. I got a good shave out of it and thought all was fine, not so. I struggled with it until a got things turned around. I am hoping at least I did it right this time. Anywho, I enjoyed tonight's shave. Been a long time since I could say that.
