to the celticcrusader: Sorry but I don't look at your razors anymore, I just look at Oscar...one of the most interesting dogs I have ever seen.....talk about dogs looking human....that one looks it could write a novel or drive across country. Plus it about the sweetest looking dog......anyway, please keep posting, I know I'll get back to your razors eventually.

With the Boker King Cutter on-deck I took a break from the Ivory Quadruplets and squeezed in a few shaves with a Rolls blade I sharpened for a colleague. It looked good under the glass when I got it but shaved me rougher than a cob - it took two two days to recover from the scrapedown. I reset the blade, then a few laps on a 4000/8000, 100 strokes on a Rolls hone and 100 more on a Rolls leather strop (foreground/tan). The next shave was smooth but lackluster. On a whim I tried another 100 laps on a Rolls cork strop (background/red).

    Nice!
This mornings two pass Rolls shave was 80% BBS.
Some touching up and it's 95% perfect.
    AofS preshave lotion -
    Cella cream face-lather -
    Semogue 1305 boar brush -
    Thayer Lemon-Aloe witch hazel -
    Pinaud classic aftershave.
