Getting Ready to Go Back Home
I am almost ready to go back home and, like every genuine gentleman should do before starting a new journey, I of course shaved with a straight razor and now I am almost ready to travel back home. There I have all of my Mastro Livi straight razors waiting for me and I admit I miss them quite a lot. The razor I brought with me this time is good but not so good, let's say it is an acceptable shaver. That's why I miss so much shaving with a Mastro Livi razor while enjoying its velvety and smooth touch.

Thanked: 13247Reality Check
Sometimes you have to take a step back from all the minutia we get into on these forums and have a KISS shave..
Just a simple shave nothing more..
I had the opportunity to do just that when I got this Moraine Barber's Hone in for lapping (nice smooth hone BTW)
While I was lapping and polishing it I decided to do a reality check and have a simple test shave after.. I used my test bed razor and did some quick honing to test the hone out, simple Linen and Leather stropping on an Illinois #827.. Made lather on the face using my Burma-Shave brush and Williams soap.. Lathered up shaved 1 WTG pass and a Multidirectional touch-up pass. rinsed with hot then cold water and applied some Aqua-Velva AS..
Done and Done, results were a CCS
Keep It Simple Stupid
Gotta love it
