    Hot shower.

    W.H. Sample & Sons 5/8
    Barbasol
    WTG & ATG passes
    Proraso A/S

Pretty smooth afterward, but at the cost of a lot of nicks. I've noticed that my chin has been breaking out for the last week or so, bumps which the razor loves to find! I hope it's not the Proraso doing that, maybe it'll clear up in a week or so.

This morning (around 1) I used the Filly with Orange Patchouli. It's not the sharpest razor in my rotation, but for some reason it gives me the cleanest shaves of them all

    Thu:

    Rooney small style 1 brush
    Williams Mug soap
    Hand American strop
    5/8 C-Mon/Dovo "Cadillac" modified spike
    Old Spice A/S

Great shave. This one has always been a surprisingly good shaver despite its lowly origins ($52 new from Appleton's Barber Supply), and the newsprint paddle tuned it up to pretty impressive levels of sharp. I'll be using this setup for the next few weeks to see how it lasts.

Nice shave with this little razor - totally different feel from the wedges I've been using.

The C&E sandalwood performs ok, but not as good as the almond, which I think is the best of the C&E crams. It also has a nice smell, but not one that I would recognize immediately as sandalwood.
