Good shave, but razor is just 9+ / 10. I know it can get better. Good news - 2 passes, not BBS but very comfortable, no nicks or irritation

Outstanding shave today. The scent of the Trumpers is starting to grow on me, which I find slightly worrisome...

Back to basics...
Last night I was too tired to mix and test Colleen's creams (sorry Colleen), so I decided to use one of the soaps I had lying around. After (literally) blowing the dust off the cake of Williams that I had lying around, I let it soak while I took a shower. When I got out, I whipped up the lather and went for a 2-passer. The lather whipped up easily and even though it became mildly anemic by the end of each pass, it still did its job. It performed very well and I got a very nice shave out of it.
Therefore, you don't need to spend a lot of money to enjoy a good shave. You won't get Colleen's glide, Giovanni's fluff and their exquisite scents, but you will still have an enjoyable shaving experience.
